A főrész a váradi káptalan előtt a XIII. század első évtizedeiben tartott tüzesvas-próbák és Szent László király sírjánál tett eskük töredékes jegyzőkönyvét, az ún. „Váradi regestrum”-ot tartalmazza. Az eredeti kézirat nem maradt meg. E könyv – az ajánlás tanúsága szerint – Martinuzzi György váradi püspöknek és erdélyi helytartónak szorgalmazására és költségére készült. Ez volt az újonnan felállított és kezdetben Hoffgreff által egyedül kezelt kolozsvári nyomda első terméke. (Hungarian)
